Cllr Dr John Doddy
Cllr Dr John Doddy represents the Stapleford and Broxtowe Central division, alongside Cllr John Longdon. Dr Doddy was first elected to Nottinghamshire County Council in March 2012 at a by-election in the Chilwell & Toton division. He is also a borough Councillor for the Bramcote ward.
Cllr Doddy is Chairman of the Health & Wellbeing Board, a committee which works with local health organisations alongside district and borough councils to find out what Nottinghamshire needs to improve in health and wellbeing and to develop a strategy and delivery plan to achieve this. He also sits on the Adult Social Care & Health Committee, giving him a wide range of experience in this field.
John divides his time between his Council responsibilities, and his job as a local GP, practicing at Hickings Lane Surgery in Stapleford. In addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle, he also practices long distance running, and has completed many marathons.
