Cllr Tony Harper
Councillor Tony Harper was elected to represent the Eastwood division in 2017 – the first Conservative to represent the area on the Council. He also represents the Eastwood Hall on Broxtowe Borough Council.
Tony is one of the Vice-chairmen for the Adult Social Care and Health committee, with specific responsibility for young adults, mental health, and people with disabilities. He also sits on the Communities & Place and Governance & Ethics committees, and represents the Council on the Local Pensions Board.
A former senior police officer, Tony has lived in Eastwood for most of his life. As the son of a local miner, he appreciates the issues faced by Eastwood residents and is working to ensure that the town gets its fair share of funding and improvements.
